An autonomous public institution supervising the financial sector is carrying out an office renovation that includes demolition, partitions, doors, glazing, interior fit-out and the integration of building services. This medior infrastructure project manager role combines the responsibilities of a technical project manager for an office renovation and site manager, representing the client from work preparation through final handover.

The mission

The project covers the technical and operational follow-up of a workplace refurbishment from preparation through provisional and final acceptance. The technical landscape combines architecture, construction and building services, including HVAC, electrical and lighting systems, fire safety, access control, security and IT cabling. The role ensures that the works, plans, decisions and technical documentation remain aligned throughout delivery. It requires practical understanding across disciplines rather than expert design knowledge in each one.

Working as the client-side technical contact, you will coordinate the general contractor and subcontractors with specialist trades. Your day-to-day scope includes site meetings, progress and quality checks, plan review, schedule follow-up, change assessment and resolution of coordination issues. You will verify that execution matches approved plans, specifications and decisions, then track as-built plans and outstanding items through handover. The position suits a medior construction professional who is comfortable combining document review with regular site presence.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinate the general contractor, subcontractors and specialist trades to keep construction activities aligned with the project plans and decisions.
• Verify the progress, quality and conformity of works against construction drawings, specifications and agreed requirements.
• Read and interpret construction and execution drawings, including contractor submissions, revisions and coordination between architecture, construction and building services.
• Monitor site planning, identify technical or coordination issues and secure practical resolutions with the relevant parties.
• Assess modifications, additional works and their impact on the project, including related cost statements and scope changes.
• Lead follow-up towards provisional and final acceptance, including the closure of defects and the handover of technical documents.

Your profile

Essential skills

• Bring medior-level practical experience from the client side, an engineering consultancy or a project/construction management company.
• Demonstrate concrete experience in construction site follow-up and coordination, with regular involvement in on-site activities.
• Apply practical experience in office renovation, refurbishment or fit-out projects.
• Read and interpret construction and execution drawings, and assess contractor plans and adaptations accurately.
• Communicate clearly with contractors, subcontractors and technical specialists, while constructively challenging proposed solutions.
• Work independently and systematically, with attention to detail, ownership of follow-up actions and strong coordination skills.

Preferred skills

• Use broad, non-expert knowledge of HVAC, electricity, lighting, fire safety, access control, intrusion protection, security, cabling and technical IT infrastructure to assess how building services interact.

Education

• Hold at least a graduate or bachelor's degree in construction or a related technical building discipline, or offer equivalent practical experience.
