Job summary

Tergos is seeking a proactive Cloud Engineer to join our international cloud team in Belgium. You will focus on detailed technical design of cloud infrastructure, ensuring best practices across projects.

You will design cloud infrastructure with emphasis on networking, security, scalability and governance, and define HA/DR, backup and monitoring strategies. Key tasks include implementing IaC with Terraform and Ansible, deploying resources, bridging development and operations for faster delivery,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Azure, networking, security and monitoring.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Willing to work on-site at company offices regularly.

We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Cloud Engineer to join an international Cloud team.

In this role, you will focus on the detailed technical design of cloud infrastructure, ensuring that best practices are applied across various projects.

• Designing cloud infrastructure with a focus on networking, security, scalability and governance.

• Defining solutions for High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup and restore.

• Leveraging existing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), templates and reference architectures.

• Selecting appropriate cloud services to ensure scalability, reliability and security.

• Collaborating with development, security and operations teams.

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure:

  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Deploying and configuring cloud resources.

  • Bridging development and operations to enable faster delivery.

  • Performing infrastructure testing and establishing monitoring and security standards.

  • Collaborating with Cloud Engineers and Architects to ensure efficient and reliable releases.

• Setting up backup solutions and defining monitoring strategies.

• Providing second- and third-line support for troubleshooting and incident response.

Who are you?

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree and have a strong passion for Cloud Engineering.
• You have relevant professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• You have solid knowledge of Azure, cloud fundamentals, networking, security and monitoring.
• You have a flexible, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• You enjoy thinking outside the box.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
• You are willing to work on-site at the company's offices on a regular basis.
