Job summary

UCB is seeking a VIE Bioanalytical Scientist in Belgium to develop and optimize immunogenicity assays, primarily ELISA/MSD, with potential involvement in cell-based assays. You will analyze data to support development of biological entities and gene therapies.

You will perform binding assays on an electrochemiluminescence platform and may contribute to cell-based assays, progressing toward autonomy while ensuring data integrity and quality, within a collaborative scientific environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in bioanalysis, ELISA or related lab techniques.
• Rigorous data quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.

Role:

You will develop and optimise immunogenicity assays, primarily based on ELISA/MSD methods, with potential involvement in cell-based assays. You will analyse the resulting data to support the development of new biological entities and gene therapies.

You will:

• Develop and optimise bioanalytical methods to assess immune responses to biological treatments and gene therapies.
• Perform binding assays using an electrochemiluminescence detection platform and may also contribute to cell-based assays.
• Progressively develop your autonomy, from assay development under supervision to independent execution and data interpretation.
• Apply good laboratory practices, data integrity principles and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with scientists from different disciplines in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in bioanalysis, ELISA or other laboratory techniques.
• Rigorous approach with particular attention to data quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary scientific team.
• Motivation to develop your skills and progressively gain autonomy.
• Fluency in English is essential; French is an asset.
