Anglo-Eastern Group in Antwerpen seeks an experienced operations manager to oversee offshore vessels, ensuring safe operations and maintaining costs within the budget set by ship owners.

You will plan and execute repairs and dry-docking, monitor vessel performance and PMS, inspect vessels, manage survey cycles, and supervise the procurement of spare parts, while preparing operating budgets for review by the fleet management team.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer's or Master's (FG) Certificate of Competency required.
• Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture or Electro Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute repairs and dry-docking, including routine repairs and major repairs.
• Monitor vessel performance and PMS.
• Conduct vessel inspections and follow up on issues identified.
• Prepare and monitor survey cycles and statutory survey requirements/repairs; PSC preparation.
• Monitor and control purchase and delivery of spare parts and stores.
• Prepare operating budgets for fleet manager/director review and monitor budget spending.
• Participate in pre-purchase/pre-takeover third party checks and inspection reports for owners as requested.
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis to clear vessels through vetting processes.

Description du poste

Provide operation management services to several offshore vessels under charge to ensure they run in a safe manner as required by AESM, and the running costs for all the vessels are within the budget allocated by the ship owners.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and execute works related to repair and dry-docking, including both routine repairs and major repairs
• Monitor the vessel performance and PMS
• Conduct vessel inspection for each ship under charge several times a year and follow up on issues identified
• Prepare and monitor survey cycles, statutory survey requirements / repairs to ensure compliance. PSC Preparation
• Monitor and control the purchase and delivery of spare parts and stores supplied to the vessels
• Prepare the operating budgets for fleet manager/director review and monitor the actual budget spending vs the budget throughout the year. Escalate the issue in case the costs are expected to exceed the budget
• Participate in pre-purchase/pre-takeover third party checking, as well as inspection and reports for the owners as per request
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis getting the vessel cleared through vetting companies and terminals.

Education:

• To have Chief Engineer's or Master's (F.G.) Certificate of Competency.
• Degree / Diploma holder in Naval Architecture or Electro Mechanical Engineering.

Specific Business Knowledge: Offshore Service Vessels, Dynamic Positioning, Mission Equipment Packages such as Motion Compensated Cranes and Gangways, Lay Spreads etc.
