Product Manager – Defense APNT

The Job

As Product Manager for our Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) product line, with a focus on the defense sector, you are responsible for your products throughout their entire lifecycle. You translate customer and market needs into product requirements, guide product development in close cooperation with R&D, and define the product positioning, pricing and go-to-market strategy.

Working across departments, you ensure that our products meet market expectations and contribute to Septentrio's business objectives.

Your Mission

Market & Product Strategy

• Develop a thorough understanding of defense customers, market dynamics, procurement processes and the competitive landscape.
• Translate market needs into product requirements and technical specifications, working closely with R&D and other departments.
• Define and maintain the product roadmap, anticipating future market needs and technology trends.

Product Management & Go-to-Market

• Define product positioning, pricing and go-to-market strategies, and coordinate product launches and marketing activities.
• Coordinate operational planning across departments to ensure alignment on product priorities and requirements.
• Monitor product performance, quality and profitability throughout its lifecycle.

Sales & Market Engagement

• Support Sales and Support teams through product training, customer visits and guidance on key product features and selling points.
• Engage with customers and market stakeholders to identify requirements and opportunities.
• Represent Septentrio at international defense fairs, conferences, forums and working groups.

Your Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Geomatics or an equivalent technical field.
• Solid experience in product management and go-to-market strategy, preferably within the defense sector.
• Experience in the defense or security ecosystem and an understanding of its stakeholders and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of GNSS applications in robotics, UAS and drones is an asset.

• Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
• Strong strategic and commercial mindset, including an understanding of product positioning, pricing and business performance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence different stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
• Independent and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time, mainly within Europe and the US.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French or other languages is an asset.
• Eligible to obtain the security clearance required by relevant national defense or governmental authorities.
