ALTEN Belgium is seeking a Manufacturing/Methods Engineer to define methods and routings, industrialize products, and drive process improvements. You will analyze designs, develop assembly guidelines and BOMs, and support the transition from engineering to production.

Responsibilities include optimizing processes, training operators, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with quality, design, logistics and production teams to implement new machinery and methods.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• First experience in manufacturing methods/industrialization engineering; experience in process engineering is a plus.
• French mandatory; English at least B2.
• Eligibility for Business France’s V.I.E. program.

Responsabilités

• Define Manufacturing and Assembly Methods; analyze designs to select processes, equipment and tooling, and develop routings and work instructions.
• Industrialize new or modified product; support prototype/pre-series; validate processes to meet quality, cost and timing targets.
• Optimize existing processes; identify waste and lead-time improvements using Lean/Kaizen/5S; support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical production support; troubleshoot issues, analyze non-conformances and implement corrective actions; train operators.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, design, logistics and production to deploy new machinery, tools, or processes.

As a Manufacturing/Methods Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Define Manufacturing and Assembly Methods; Analyze product designs and specifications to select appropriate processes, equipment, and tooling. Develop manufacturing routings, work instructions, and technical documentation (e.g., bills of materials, assembly guidelines)
• Industrialize New or Modified Product:Support prototype and pre-series phases, ensuring a seamless transition from engineering to full-scale production. Validate processes to meet quality, cost, and timeline target
• Optimize Existing Process:Identify inefficiencies (waste, time losses, material issues) and apply Lean/Kaizen/5S methodologies. Contribute to cost-reduction and lead-time optimization initiativ
• Provide Technical Support to Production:Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, participate in non-conformance analyses, and implement corrective actions. Train operators and production teams on new methods, tools, or equipment.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with quality, design, logistics, and production teams to deploy new machinery, tools, or process improvements. Ensure alignment between technical requirements and operational execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• First experience in manufacturing methods/industrialization engineering; experience in process engineering is a plus.
• Fluency in French (mandatory) and English (B2 level or higher).
• Strong analytical mindset, rigor, and hands-on problem-solving in production enviroments.
