Vulcain Engineering Belgium seeks a QA Engineer to join its team in VIE with October/November 2026 or January/February 2027 start dates. The role focuses on reviewing manufacturing and testing against quality standards, managing quality systems, GMP compliance, and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure compliant products from development through release.

Fluent French and professional English are required; a Master’s degree in life sciences or related field with pharma

Qualifications

• Master's degree in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or relevant engineering field.
• At least internship/apprenticeship experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements in product development context.
• Experience working in a GMP environment.

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a QA Engineer to join its team in VIE, with start dates available in October/November 2026 or January/February 2027.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Ensure all aspects of product manufacturing and/or testing are reviewed versus established
• quality standards and the applicable marketing authorizations.
• Manage quality systems, e.g. change control, deviations, and product investigations.
• Modify, review, and ensure contractor quality standards and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products meet GMP requirements.
• Review batch abstracts to release products in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
• Monitor contractor compliance via GxP documentation review and on-site visits/audits.
• Distribute applicable contractor documentation for Regulatory, Validation, and Subject Matter Expert review.
• Interact with multi-functional internal and external project teams to ensure compliance.
• Respond to technical and quality issues and handle schedule and/or process-related conflicts.
• Demonstrate understanding of applicable regulations related to the manufacture of medicinal products (biologics).
• Manage notification flows in quality systems between internal and external partners
• Monitor contractor performance to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report adverse trends.

ABOUT YOU:

• You have a Master’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or any relevant engineering field
• You have at least a relevant internship or apprenticeship experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• You have a good understanding of current regulatory requirements and expectations and an ability to interpret current regulations and requirements in the product development context
• You understand and know how to work in a GMP environment
• You are fluent in French and you have a professional level of English
