itsme®, a fast-growing European scale-up, seeks a Senior Digital Product Designer (UX) to shape experiences for millions of users. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and guide long-term design vision.

Based in Belgium, you’ll work in a hybrid setup with Brussels offices and the option to work remotely three days per week, contributing to a state-of-the-art digital identity solution used across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Digital Product Designer or similar role.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage workload independently.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and UX best practices.
• Deep knowledge of mobile-first design patterns.
• Strong portfolio including mobile app design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe CS and Figma.
• Ability to communicate design concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, developers, and stakeholders to shape new features from concept to launch.
• Clearly document and communicate design decisions to stakeholders across all levels, including leadership and development teams.
• Contribute to the overall product experience and long-term design vision.
• Translate user needs and business goals into clear, intuitive, and engaging designs.
• Create wireframes, wireflows, and high- and low-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma).
• Ensure consistency with our design system while driving innovation where appropriate.
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing with external UX research partners to inform decisions.
• Leverage user insights and data to guide design choices.
• Advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints and business goals.
• Work with product managers and analysts to ensure clear business and user needs during refinement.
• Collaborate with developers during implementation for high-quality execution.
• Stay updated with UX/UI trends and accessibility best practices.

As a Senior Digital Product Designer (UX) at itsme®, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience for its more than 8 million users. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, marketerrs, to create intuitive and accessible designs that meet the needs of our users.

What your job looks like

• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, developers, and stakeholders to shape new features from concept to launch
• Clearly document and communicate design decisions to stakeholders across all levels, including leadership and development teams
• Contribute to the overall product experience and long-term design vision
• Translate user needs and business goals into clear, intuitive, and engaging designs
• Create wireframes, wireflows, and high- and low-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma)
• Ensure consistency with our design system while driving innovation where appropriate
• Identify gaps in the design system and build new or updated components
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, together with our (external) UX research partners, to inform and validate design decisions
• Leverage user insights and data to guide and support design choices
• Advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints and business goals
• Work closely with product managers and functional analysts during the feature refinement phase to ensure all business and user needs are clear
• Work closely with developers during implementation to ensure high-quality execution of designs
• Stay up to date with trends and best practices in UX/UI, product design, and user behaviour
• Apply meaningful placeholder copy in designs to support copywriting
• Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring compliance with European Accessibility Guidelines

Job requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Digital Product Designer or similar role.
• Capable of collaborating effectively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to independently manage your workload
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and UX best practices
• Profound knowledge of mobile-first design patterns
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital design projects, including mobile app design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe CS and Figma.
• Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationalize cross-functional teams
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
