Job summary

Rhox is seeking a Senior Risk Officer to turn technology, operational and AI risk findings into measurable remediation plans. You will connect risk, security, architecture and delivery across Agile AI projects, leading cross-functional remediation and executive reporting.

The role requires five+ years in IT risk and strong governance, security frameworks and stakeholder engagement. Travel occasionally and collaboration with audit, architecture and delivery teams across Belgium.

Qualifications

• At least five years in IT risk, operational risk, cybersecurity, technology governance or technology transformation.
• Experience managing remediation programmes and cross-functional transformation in complex environments.
• Cyber risk management, remediation planning and governance.
• Experience with Agile software delivery, DevSecOps, SaaS, cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and control methodologies.
• Change management, release governance and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Track progress, dependencies and residual risks through to closure.
• Report risk exposure and remediation results to executive stakeholders.
• Lead quarterly risk reviews covering audit progress and risk closure.

What you bring

• At least five years in IT risk, operational risk, cybersecurity, technology governance or technology transformation.
• Experience managing complex remediation programmes and cross-functional transformation in complex environments.
• Cyber risk management, risk remediation planning and implementation governance.
• Agile software delivery, DevSecOps, SaaS, public cloud and enterprise platforms.
• Security frameworks, control environments, risk management frameworks and control methodologies.
• Change management, release management and operational governance.
• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder alignment, constructive challenge and concise executive-level reporting.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering, cybersecurity or risk management, or equivalent experience.
• French or Dutch, B2.
• English, C1.

Nice to have

• AI governance, model risk management or Responsible AI practices.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF or EU AI Act.
• Financial services experience or knowledge of financial sector regulation.
• Experience with regulatory inspections, internal audits or supervisory reviews.
• CRISC, CISA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor, PMP, Prince2, Agile certification or ITIL Foundation.

Good to know

• Occasional travel.
