Cisco Systems is seeking a Threat Detection Engineer to develop and maintain Tetragon runtime security policies, leveraging eBPF and Kubernetes to monitor and enforce security across customers’ Linux environments. You will work with Isovalent and Cisco engineers to refine policies, respond to new threats, and help customers deploy secure configurations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, customers, and security researchers, including publication of content and talks to share

Qualifications

3+ years of threat and/or vulnerability research.
3+ years of developing security detections at scale.
3+ years of experience with Linux system security (capabilities, LSMs, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

Develop and maintain Tetragon runtime security policies to visibility and protection.
Design frameworks for easy consumption of policies and assess security posture.
Monitor CVEs and threat intelligence to update policies.
Collaborate with Isovalent and Cisco engineers to enhance policy capabilities.
Support deployment of policies with customers and solutions architects.
Publish content and present talks on findings and policies.
