Engibex is seeking a Test Engineer to operate and develop advanced test rigs for hybrid and electric powertrain evaluation in a Belgian R&D center.

You will own test rigs, maintain equipment, and drive improvements in hardware and software, with Python and CANape playing a key role in automation and data acquisition. Collaboration with multiple teams ensures high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with interest in mechatronic systems.
• Strong ability to understand complex systems in a test environment.
• Programming background required.
• Knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, and high voltage applications is essential.
• Knowledge of automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment and electro mechanics.

Responsabilités

• Operate and develop advanced test rigs by conducting tests to evaluate performance for hybrid powertrains.
• Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality operation, routine maintenance, upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
• Develop and improve the test rig environment, hardware and software with focus on innovation and precision; Python and CANape used for automation.
• Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with validation/test engineering, test rig operators, and R&D departments to optimize testing processes.
• Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs using KPIs to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
• Work in the R&D Test Center where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.

Job Description

• Operate and develop the advanced test rigs by conducting tests to evaluate the performance for hybrid powertrains.
• Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality operation, routine maintenance, necessary upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
• Develop and improve the test rig environment, hardware as well as software, where focus is on innovation and precision in test performance. In regards of software, the test rig runs on real time platform in combination with Python and CANape as automation tools.
• Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with validation and test engineering, test rig operators, and various R&D departments to execute and optimize testing processes.
• Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs by setting and using Key Performance Indicators to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
• You will be working in the R&D Test Center department where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.
