Médiane Benelux is seeking an engineer to join its automotive R&D center in Belgium to develop and validate powertrain test rigs and related automation. You will push innovations, operate test rigs, and collaborate across teams to improve testing quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Master's or Bachelor's) with a strong interest in mechatronic systems.
• Solid programming background and ability to work with real-time systems.
• Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics and high‑voltage applications.
• Experience or knowledge in automotive testing, sensors and data acquisition is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate and further develop advanced test rigs to evaluate transmissions and propulsion systems.
• Enhance test rig environment, hardware and software with focus on innovation and measurement precision.
• Work with a real‑time platform combined with Python and CANape as automation tools.
• Take full ownership of assigned test rigs: operation, maintenance, upgrades, and optimization.
• Serve as main contact for operational issues and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with validation/test engineering teams and other R&D departments to optimize processes.
• Develop tools and documentation to standardize operations and improve testing quality and KPIs.

• Collaborate closely with validation and test engineering teams, test rig operators, and other R&D departments to optimize processes.
• Develop tools and documentation to standardize operations and improve testing quality and efficiency using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Profile / Requirements

• Engineering degree (Master's or Bachelor's with relevant experience) with a strong interest in mechatronic systems.
• Solid programming background.
• Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, and high‑voltage applications.
• Experience or knowledge in the following is considered an asset:

  • Test equipment and electromechanics
