Cognizant is seeking a senior Test Data Management Architect in Belgium to own and shape end-to-end TDM architecture for a major banking engagement. You will lead design of synthetic data generation, masking, provisioning, and governance across complex banking environments.

The role requires deep TDM expertise, cross-system referential integrity, strong SQL, and scripting skills, with a focus on GDPR compliance and on-site collaboration in Brussels. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data or test data management with hands-on TDM architecture ownership across large-scale programs.
• Hands-on expertise with TDM tooling such as Broadcom/CA TDM, Informatica TDM, Delphix, IBM Optim or GenRocket.
• Deep expertise in synthetic data generation, masking, anonymization, subsetting, and cross-system referential integrity.
• Strong SQL and data modelling capabilities across Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server.
• Scripting and automation proficiency in Python, Java, or shell scripting, with API-based data provisioning experience.
• GDPR and data privacy expertise with a track record of handling sensitive financial data in a compliant manner.
• Banking domain experience in payments, core banking, or related regulated financial systems.
• Professional proficiency in English; French/Dutch an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Assess the current TDM landscape, produce delivery roadmaps, and lead stakeholders AS-IS to TO-BE.

About the Role

As a Test Data Management (TDM) Architect at Cognizant, you will make an impact by owning and shaping the end-to-end test data management architecture for a high-profile engagement, one of Belgium's most prominent banking institutions. You will be a valued member of our Data & Quality Engineering Practice and work collaboratively with data architects, test leads, and delivery teams to design a modern TDM ecosystem — one that reduces dependency on acceptance environments, supports shift-left testing, and ensures full compliance with GDPR and internal data privacy standards.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture role requiring deep expertise in synthetic data generation, data masking, provisioning, and cross-system referential integrity across complex, interconnected banking systems.

In This Role, You Will

• Define the TDM strategy, architecture, and target operating model across all environments, from development through to pre-production, delivering a phased and governed adoption roadmap.
• Design synthetic test data generation with full referential integrity and business rule enforcement across multiple relational databases and interconnected tables — reflecting real banking data complexity.
• Define masking and anonymization approaches, including hybrid synthetic and masked data models, fully aligned to GDPR and internal data privacy and governance standards.
• Build end-to-end test data provisioning for complex end-to-end flows, ensuring data consistency from input sources through to downstream output and reporting tables.
• Reduce acceptance environment dependency by enabling on-demand, self-service data provisioning — accelerating testing and decoupling delivery from environment availability.
• Establish TDM governance, including data subsetting, refresh cycle management, coverage definition (scenarios, volumes, event codes), and quality assurance of test data assets.
• Assess the current TDM landscape, produce effort estimates for phased delivery, and lead client stakeholders through the roadmap from AS-IS to TO-BE.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• 10+ years of experience in data or test data management, with hands‑on TDM architecture ownership across large-scale, complex programs.
• Hands‑on expertise with TDM tooling such as Broadcom/CA TDM, Informatica TDM, Delphix, IBM Optim, or GenRocket — including architecture, configuration, and enterprise deployment.
• Deep expertise in synthetic data generation, masking, anonymization, subsetting, and cross‑system referential integrity within multi‑database environments.
• Strong SQL and data modelling capabilities, with RDBMS depth across Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server.
• Scripting and automation proficiency in Python, Java, or shell scripting, combined with API‑based data provisioning experience.
• GDPR and data privacy expertise, with a proven track record of handling sensitive financial data in a compliant and auditable manner.
• Banking domain experience, preferably in payments, core banking, or related regulated financial systems.
• Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Mainframe and batch data flow exposure, including understanding of how batch processes generate and consume test data in banking environments.
• Cloud data platform experience and hands‑on integration of data provisioning pipelines into CI/CD toolchains (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experience defining acceptance environment optimization strategies, reducing cost and lead time while maintaining testing quality and coverage.
• A consulting mindset with the ability to present findings and architecture recommendations directly to senior client stakeholders.
