CBTW in Brussels is looking for a Data Engineer to join their AI & Data Platforms team. You will design and implement innovative data solutions that leverage advanced data technologies.

The ideal candidate has a degree in computer science and at least 3 years of data engineering experience, with expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and a strong command of SQL. You'll enjoy comprehensive training programs and a competitive salary with flexible mobility options.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar position.
• Expertise in designing and developing ETL processes, data modeling, and optimization.
• Very good knowledge of SQL and experience with relational database design.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Good programming skills, preferably in Python or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms is a plus.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (ETL processes)
• Design and implement data models and structures to meet performance, scalability, and data integrity requirements
• Optimize database queries to maximize performance and minimize execution time
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration to ensure data quality and consistency
• Establish monitoring and security mechanisms to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate data solutions
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and best practices in data engineering to develop innovative solutions

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar position
• Expertise in designing and developing ETL processes, data modeling, and optimization
• Very good knowledge of SQL and experience with relational database design
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks
• Good programming skills, preferably in Python or Scala
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their services in data analysis and processing is a plus
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French and English
