Rhox in Brussels is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to create and maintain automated checks using OpenText UFT, manage test execution in HP ALM, and collaborate with IS Life and business stakeholders to ensure reliable releases. The role blends hands-on automation with structured communication across teams.
Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of testing experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ISTQB Foundation certification, and familiarity with Azure DevOps and Power BI for reporting.
A major insurance organisation in Belgium is extending quality assurance for its Life business applications, with the relevant IS team based in the Brussels-Capital Region. As a Test Automation Engineer in Brussels, you will create and maintain automated checks in OpenText UFT, manage test execution information in HP ALM, and work with testing, IS, and business stakeholders to keep application releases reliable.
The IS Life division supports applications and test environments used for insurance processes. Its testing landscape combines functional testing, automated regression coverage, defect follow-up, and reporting across established delivery tools. OpenText UFT is used for automated scripts and object repositories, while HP ALM organises cycles, test suites, and execution planning. Azure DevOps provides additional support for boards, work items, and test plans.
Your day-to-day scope covers the maintenance and development of automated test scripts, execution preparation, test-result analysis, and defect handling. You will distinguish a product defect from a script-maintenance issue, keep test assets reusable, and provide clear status information for timely resolution. Collaboration spans the Testing Team, IS teams, business stakeholders, and management, so the role combines hands‑on automation with structured communication. Your output supports consistent testing practices and the governance and coordination of quality activities within IS Life.
Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
