IMI Hydronic Engineering in Walloon Brabant is seeking a Test and Support Engineer for industrial applications. You will develop automated systems to run non-regression tests, write test plans, and ensure products meet specifications before release.

You will provide technical support to customers, document test results, and collaborate with embedded software teams. A Master’s degree in Electrical or Electro- Mechanical Engineering and strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master Degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot systems and equipment.
• Experience with testing techniques and tools.
• Excellent knowledge and practice with coding, reading electronic schematics and understanding electro-mechanical concepts is expected.
• Good practical knowledge of English is a must; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Good collaboration skills with teams developing embedded software and UI apps.
• Curiosity about how things work and learning technical applications of final products is important.
• Creative, eager to learn and flexible.

Job Overview

In order to reinforce our engineering unit in Mont-Saint-Guibert, specialised in electronic and software development for hydronic circuits of heating and air-conditioning systems, we are looking for a test and support engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop automated systems to run non-regression tests for industrial connected products efficiently.
• Write test plans and create test cases based on requirements and design documentation.
• Prior product's release, ensure they are error-free and in line with specifications by performing various kinds of testing. Upon detecting an issue, analyse it and track down the root cause.
• Povide technical support to internal and external customers, assisting with problems encountered with installed products. Beyond checking for product flaws, propose solutions and suggest improvements, as well as contribute to data analysis with your findings from testing.
• Accompany every round of testing with detailed documentation, noting the results for all test cases and any discovered defects. Based on this raw data, prepare clear information to the development team.
• Keep a constant technological watch in order to propose pertinent and innovative evolutions.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Master Degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot systems and equipment.
• Experience with testing techniques and tools
• Excellent knowledge and practice with coding, reading electronic schematics and understanding electro-mechanical concepts is expected.
• Good practical knowledge of English is a must; proficiency in French is a plus
• Good colloborations skills, colloborating with colleagues developing products involving embedded software, iOS/Android apps as UI and industrial communication protocols.
• Being curious about how things work and learning the technical applications of the final products is important
• Creative, eager to learn and flexible.
