DEME Group in Belgium is seeking a Tender Engineer for Rock Placement and Landfalls to join an international, multidisciplinary team. You will participate in acquisition, prepare and submit tenders for cable landfalls and scour protection for Offshore Wind Farms, and other offshore projects.

You will analyze tender documentation, perform cost calculations and risk assessments, program works and draft installation sequences, and coordinate with subcontractors and supporting departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
  • Strong analytical thinker.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Passion for the marine environment and large projects.
  • Attention to detail and team orientation.
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness for short assignments abroad; flexibility to travel.

Responsabilités

  • Take part in the acquisition process of DEME’s global offshore projects.
  • Prepare and submit tender proposals to clients.

Description du poste

As a Tender Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and submission of our innovative proposals. You will be part of an international, multidisciplinary team of 6 to 15 members, supported and coached by an experienced Desk or Tender Manager. As a member of the Tender Department, you will be allocated to one or several tender teams and will report for each tender to the Tender Manager. In this position you will collaborate with different parties and you will be the first link to our bright future.

As a Tender Engineer Rock Placement and Landfalls, you will take care of tenders for cable landfalls and also scour protection for Offshore Wind Farms as well as some other offshore projects.

Your responsibilities
  • Take part in the acquisition process of DEME’s global offshore projects;
  • play a key role in the preparation and submission of tender proposals to our clients;
  • analyzing tender documentation received from potential clients and work on method selection, cost calculations and risk assessments;
  • program the works and draft installation sequence drawings;
  • liaise with subcontractors, partners and supporting departments;
  • reporting for internal and external approval purposes.
Your profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering;
  • strong analytical thinker;
  • good communicator and fluent in English (speaking, writing and reading). Proficiency in other languages is a plus;
  • passion about the marine environment and large projects, built with large equipment;
