Job summary

Volvo Group Ghent plant is seeking a supply chain professional to ensure parts availability and keep the assembly line running at the lowest possible cost. You will monitor delivery performance from domestic and international suppliers and maintain timely communication with stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or international business, advanced English, and solid Excel skills. Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, international business or a related field.
• Understanding of supply chain operations and flow thinking.
• Language: Advanced English; Dutch is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with prioritization and urgency management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production scheduling and delivery performance of parts from domestic and international suppliers.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers to ensure deliveries align with EDI commitments.
• Daily communication with stakeholders (production, transport, quality, cross-docks, etc.).
• Manage supplier-related cost recovery processes (chargebacks).
• Ensure logistics parameters are accurately maintained and updated in the system (lead time, MRP, EDI).
