ENGIE Belgium in Brussels seeks a Technology Lead – Renewable Energy Systems to steer the Green Power Suite roadmap. You will architect scalable systems, coach development teams, and align with SDLC governance to deliver GPS refoundation while collaborating with global stakeholders.
You will drive backend design, API development, data pipelines, and event-driven integration using AWS, PostgreSQL and modern DevOps practices in an international setting.
Are you passionate about technology and renewable energy?
Do you enjoy designing scalable software solutions while coaching and inspiring development teams?
Then ENGIE, leader of the Energy Transition, needs YOU!
For the Origination and Contract management IS team within our Global Business Unit Supply & Energy Management (GBU S&EM) based in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Technology Lead – Renewable Energy Systems (F/M/X).
The Origination and Contract Management (OCM) IS team is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of a critical application suite called Green Power Suite (GPS), which enables Energy Management teams to manage upstream power and gas assets for ENGIE and its clients, as well as market risk exposure.
The suite supports all activities required to manage Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with asset owners across various technologies, including wind, solar, battery storage and decentralised flexibility assets, covering the full lifecycle from tender management and contract administration to asset steering, optimisation decisions, risk management, curtailment management and invoicing.
As Technology Lead Developer, you act as the technical reference within the Renewables Post-Trade team, part of the OCM IS organisation.
You are responsible for delivering software increments, driving the evolution of the technical architecture of the team's application landscape to support the GPS Refoundation programme, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and coaching team members on development best practices.
You are the immediate partner of the team's Team Lead, providing technical guidance, advising on the team's technical skill mix, and playing a key role in the staffing and selection of developer profiles.
You maintain strong alignment with the cross-functional teams responsible for SDLC governance, release management and test management, while closely collaborating with the GPS Refoundation team.
