Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a Danaher operating company, seeks a Technician II for Leuven, Belgium—on-site, late shift—to support oligonucleotide production.

You will perform laboratory maintenance, keep stock levels and records, and provide assistance to Technician II-III, reporting to the supervisor in Plate Based Synthesis.

Ideal candidates have a high school degree or equivalent, a first working experience, and fluency in Dutch and English, with careful, punctual work habits.

The Technician II performs the standard tasks in the oligonucleotides production process, within the assigned Value Stream and process step. This can include the synthesis, cleavage from the solid support, deprotection, desalting, purification, quantification, QC sampling and/or final processing of oligonucleotides.

This position reports to the supervisor and is part of the Plate Based Synthesis department located in Leuven, Belgium and will be an on-site role. The position is in the late shift.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform laboratory maintenance, including decontamination, cleaning and waste management

• Keep stock levels sufficient and maintain product and instrument records

• Provide assistance to Technician II-III

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school degree or equivalent job experience with interest in science

• A first working experience is a plus

• Fluency in Dutch and proficient in English, or fluent in English.

• Ability to multi-task

• Punctual & accurate way of working

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working in a regulated environment
