Axalta seeks a Technical Service Specialist for Automotive Coatings to provide expert on-site technical support at Volvo Gent and nearby operations. You will conduct trials, respond to inquiries, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong background in automotive coating processes, excellent communication, and fluency in English, with robust IT skills to use application software and tools.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational training as a Paint Laboratory Technician, Paint Technician, Master Painter, or equivalent technical qualification, plus relevant experience.
• Several years of experience in customer manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of coating systems and painting processes in automotive plants or related supplier industries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical application support at Volvo Gent.
• Handle and respond to on-site product/application inquiries and trials.
• Plan and run application trials, document results and recommendations.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints using root-cause analysis.
• Support launch of new products and collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales.
