The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Asset team. In this role, you will be the technical link between our commercial teams and the world of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), helping to translate technical expertise into commercial value.
You will advise our commercial teams on technical and GSE-related topics, support them during customer meetings and negotiations, and work closely with suppliers to ensure each part of equipment has the right specification and bring new product innovations to the table. Combining strong technical knowledge with a commercial mindset, you will work with country teams to win projects and reach commercial success together.
A snapshot of what you will be doing here
Technical & Commercial Advisory
- Advise commercial teams on technical and GSE-related topics, ranging from commercial quotes to spec selection and innovation.
- Support commercial teams during customer meetings, negotiations and technical discussions.
- Act as the go-to technical expert for commercial teams on asset-related questions.
Supplier & Market Engagement
- Liaise with suppliers on product innovation and introduce new developments to commercial teams.
- Conduct site visits, either at suppliers or customers, to inspect equipment and evaluate fleet solutions.
Change & Continuous Improvement
- Implement change management with commercial teams around new ways of working, including commercial flow projects.
- Contribute to closer, more effective collaboration between technical and commercial teams.
What a week of a Technical Sales Engineer could look like
- Monday: Join pipeline and project review meetings with the local commercial teams to discuss upcoming opportunities, equipment requirements, and customer requests.
- Tuesday: Contact OEMs and suppliers worldwide to obtain quotations, technical specifications, lead times, and commercial information for ongoing projects.
- Wednesday: Collect Capex papers, project documentation, review quotations, and align with procurement, commercial, and operational stakeholders to move projects forward.
- Thursday: Follow up on equipment orders in production, review delivery schedules, coordinate transportation, and ensure assets arrive on site on time and within budget.
- Friday: Provide technical guidance on GSE selection, charging infrastructure, and operational suitability.
No two weeks are the same. One day you may be discussing charging solutions for an electric GSE fleet with an OEM, the next supporting a tender in Australia, negotiating lead times with suppliers, coordinating the delivery of equipment to a customer on the other side of the world, or building a business case for a strategic stock purchase and aligning with stakeholders on the best way forward.
We are looking for an individual who

- Has 1-2 years of working experience in a commercial or technical sales role.
- Combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Has a genuine interest in ground support equipment, fleet solutions and the aviation industry.
- Is comfortable working across technical and commercial teams, and can translate technical detail into commercial value.
- Has excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- Is proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented.
- Enjoys working in an international and fast-paced environment.
