Progressive is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the technical delivery of automation and infrastructure projects. You will bridge customers, engineering teams, and specialists across the full lifecycle, shaping solutions that meet performance and safety standards.

You will define architectures, coordinate multidisciplinary activities, and support presales, budgeting, and tender responses, while mentoring colleagues and driving continuous improvement in a global, multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in electrical, automation, control, or industrial engineering environments.
• Experience managing complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years experience.
• Knowledge of MV/HV networks, switchgear, protection systems, substation automation systems, industrial Ethernet networks, communication protocols and telecommunication infrastructures.

Responsabilités

• Lead the technical definition and implementation of automation, control, monitoring, and communication systems for critical infrastructure environments.
• Translate customer requirements into robust, scalable, and fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Act as the primary technical advisor and point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support business development activities through technical consultations, solution proposals, budgeting, and tender responses.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities from design through testing, commissioning, and operational handover.(FAT & SAT)
• Define system architectures, communication infrastructures, and integration strategies between various operational technologies and digital platforms.
• Oversee technical documentation, engineering deliverables, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Manage technical risks, resolve complex challenges, and support decision-making throughout project execution.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, external partners, and subject-matter experts to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, standardization efforts, and technical innovation programs.
• Provide technical training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to customers and colleagues.

As Technical Project Manager, I lead the technical delivery of complex infrastructure and automation projects, acting as the key interface between customers, engineering teams, project management, and technical specialists throughout the full project lifecycle.

My role combines technical leadership, solution design, customer engagement, and project support, ensuring that technical solutions meet business objectives, performance requirements, and operational constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Profile

• Strong technical background in electrical, automation, control, or industrial engineering environments.
• Experience managing complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Knowledge of MV/HV networks, switchgear, protection systems, substation automation systems, industrial Ethernet networks, communication protocols and telecommunication infrastructures.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise.
• Customer-focused, solution-oriented, and able to simplify complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences.
• Dutch and English are mandatory; French is a plus
• Comfortable operating in international and multicultural project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with industrial automation, control and communication systems in critical infrastructure environments. Strong understanding of Ethernet-based networks, telecommunications interfaces, cybersecurity principles, and system integration. Familiarity with industry-standard protocols and architectures, including IEC 61850, SCADA and RTU systems. Experience using engineering and CAD tools for technical documentation and design. Exposure to complex international projects and regulated utility or infrastructure environments is an advantage.
