Overview

IM Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one ERP for growth and efficiency. The program aims to simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardize processes, and create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone. It will remediate end-of-life system exposure as the decade progresses.

As part of the IM Transcend Program, the Technical Product Owner ERP Make POM/MES will be an active member of the Pharm Supply Chain technology team, driving global standardization within Pharma of ERP technology solutions in the scope of Process Order Management and MES Integration. The role leads design, validation and delivery of SAP S/4 capabilities and data, aligned with business process needs, and manages integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems at Johnson & Johnson manufacturing sites where IM Transcend is deployed. The position governs the scope of the SAP S/4 template and drives template innovation and evolution through deployments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a strategic vision around E2E Production Execution capability roadmap and MES Integration framework, partnering with JJT and Business stakeholders for the right capability alignment.
• Shape and prioritize backlog, translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency.
• Act as the “voice of the customer” within the squad to ensure the squad builds the right thing.
• Lead how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve user experience.
• Drive the selection of solution options, work with the Lead Engineer to assess technical elements prior to user testing.
• Lead the integration design based on business needs and Johnson & Johnson standard methodologies and recommend appropriate connection types, evaluating impacts.
• Ensure the backlog is healthy: stay 2-3 sprints ahead and ensure each feature has a clear definition of done; align feature outcomes to a definition of readiness to enter sprint.
• Lead the integrated build with the Engineering team to ensure end-to-end build is compliant and works as designed.
• Provide inputs for the planning and execution of Technical Testing by Engineering and assist Business Process Owner to plan and complete User Acceptance Testing.
• Apply compliance requirements within scope, ensure SDLC documentation, system configuration and compliance activities are up to date as required.
• Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility on squad performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; a minimum of 5 years relevant SAP experience; a minimum of 5 years relevant Pharma experience in the Manufacturing Execution space.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Manufacturing business processes and related ERP SAP capabilities in the Process Order Management area and MES Integration.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing processes including integrated Demand Planning and OMP integration and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and production asset maintenance.
• Deep understanding of Manufacturing Execution implications in Inventory Management, Quality Management, and Supply Chain Planning.
• Understanding the end-to-end business process linkages across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Finance and Master Data.
• Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare industry and knowledge of SOX and GxP compliance regulations.
• Experience with Agile methodology and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Management model and documentation.
