Astek is seeking a Tech Lead specialized in test automation in Belgium to stabilize and industrialize automation practices within a major telecom project. You will lead QA teams, define automation strategy, and collaborate across Dev, DevOps and business teams to improve deliverable quality.

We require 5–8+ years in test automation, strong Selenium skills, API testing experience, and agile proficiency. Telecom/enterprise exposure is a plus; English required, French or Dutch preferred.

• Strong proficiency with Selenium or equivalent tools.
• Solid knowledge of test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Experience in API testing and automation strategy design.
• Experience in designing automation frameworks and defining automation strategies.
• Good understanding of Agile environments.

Job Description

Mission Objectives

• Stabilize and industrialize test automation
• Provide technical leadership to QA teams
• Reduce technical debt (ongoing refactoring)
• Improve the overall quality of deliverables

Responsibilities

Your challenges will be:

• Define and drive the test automation strategy
• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks
• Lead and coach QA teams (both local and offshore)
• Ensure the quality of automated tests (robustness, maintainability)
• Participate in QA tooling and architecture decisions
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and business teams
• Monitor quality KPIs and provide structured reporting

• Experience in QA team leadership and coaching
• Ability to structure and mature a QA team
• Excellent communication skills

• Professional English required
• French or Dutch preferred
