As a Team Leader - Engineering, you combinetechnical expertise with leadership skills to support and develop a team ofProject Engineers and CAD Designers. You remain actively involved inengineering studies while helping colleagues tackle challenges, develop theirexpertise and deliver high – quality solutions.
You are not managing from the sideline. You are part of the team. While remaining hands – on in engineering, you help coordinate workloads, support colleagues, share expertise and contribute to the growth of the Engineering team.

Your job in a nutshell:
Technical responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, CAD designers and operation teams to deliver practical and workable solutions.
- Analyze engineering requests, project requirements, technical drawings and client information.
- Develop tailor‑made lifting concepts and determine the most suitable crane configurations for complex heavy lifting projects.
Leadership responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily activities of Project Engineers and CAD Designers.
- Distribute work across the team and help balance priorities and workloads.
- Support engineers and designers when they encounter technical or operational challenges.
- Coach team members in their professional and technical development.
- Act as the first person of contact when engineers or CAD designers encounter technical challenges and need support.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of engineering deliverables.
- Help create an environment where people can learn, grow and perform.
- Act as a bridge between Engineering, Operations and other internal stakeholders.

Profile requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within heavy lifting, crane engineering, offshore construction, marine contracting or a comparable technical environment.
- Strong affinity with heavy lift cranes and lifting operations.
- Experience with crawler cranes, lattice boom cranes, ring cranes or similar heavy lifting equipment.
- Comfortable making technical calculations, developing lifting concepts and preparing or interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues within a technical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance priorities across multiple projects and team members.
- Able to coordinate workloads, create structure and maintain overview without losing sight of technical details.
- A natural communicator who enjoys collaborating with people and helping others develop.
- Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset. Additional languages are a plus.
- Curious, hands‑on, and eager to combine technical expertise with team development.
