Job summary

CNH Industrial Group in Belgium seeks an H&F Embedded Systems Engineer to join the Forage Harvesting Integration Team. You will develop and maintain embedded systems technologies for the New Holland Self Propelled harvester, collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable, robust solutions.

The role emphasizes system-level feature definition, documentation, and hands-on testing with Simulink/Stateflow and C-based code, in an on-site setting at CNH's Zedelgem site.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with embedded systems focus.
• 1–3 years of embedded systems development experience.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset.
• Understanding of programming languages and software basics.
• Ability to learn and interpret vehicle networking protocols.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Execute system engineering best practices.
• Define and maintain product feature specifications, system layout and documentation.
• Collaborate with the architecture team to ensure modularity.
• Understand end-user needs and contribute to the product roadmap.
• Decompose features into subsystem requirements and document them.
• Coordinate system definition, design and integration across teams.
• Perform design analysis and participate in DFMEAs and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical documentation and support design reviews.
• Help develop automated testing for assigned systems.
• Assist product verification and validation activities.

Job Purpose

As aH&F Embedded Systems Engineerwithin the Forage Harvesting Integration Team, you will play acritical role in development and maintenance of new embedded systems technologies onto the New Holland Self Propelled harvester product .

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing system engineering best practices.
• Define and maintain product level feature specifications, system layout, and documentation.
• Work closely with architectural team to ensure maximum component scalability and modularity.
• Understand intended product end user needs.
• Assist in defining product vision and roadmap.
• Define system level features and decompose those requirements into individual subsystem definitions and requirements.
• Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
• Conduct design analysis on components, vehicle systems and/or software architectures to verify new Requirements/Specifications can be achieved. This can include investigating HW I/0, wire harnessing, controller software and mechanical subsystems. This could include defining resource requirements, schedule to meet project objectives, as well as participation in design reviews, Safety Analysis and DFMEAs
• Prepare technical documentation and data analysis. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments.
• Collaborate to develop automated testing for assigned systems.
• Work with product verification and validation to ensure system and components perform as needed.

Experience Required

• B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical with Controls experience, to include exposure or experience, through coursework, related to Embedded Electronic Systems and Controls
• 1-3 years of experience in embedded systems development
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and experience
• Understanding of programming languages
• Ability to learn & interpret vehicle networking protocols
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agricultural, construction, Off-Highway/On-Highway mobile equipment is a plus
• Experience with Electro-Hydraulic Control Systems and Model Based Embedded System design
• Demonstrated knowledge of Model Based Design, using Mathworks® Simulink® and Stateflow®, C-code and other relevant development design tools
• Demonstrated technical leadership and organization skills
• Experience with Electro-HydrauIic or vehicle control systems for on/off-highway mehatronic systems
• Experience with CAN and/or LIN protocols and diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer®
• Experience with Ethernet diagnostic tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of design analysis tool and other relevant engineering systems
• Demonstrated technical leadership and organization/control skills.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience working with embedded CTRL development team using the C programming language
