The role requires independent work style, strong problem-solving, and hands-on data center experience with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization platforms.

The System Administrator administers ICT System components related to hosting services to meet the service requirements. They install software, configure, and upgrade ICT systems. They administer the day-to-day operations to satisfy the continuity of service, recovery, security, and performance needs.

Nature of the tasks

• Investigate, diagnose and solve system related problems.
• Install and upgrades infrastructure software, including monitoring solutions.
• Test upgrades.
• Schedule installation work, to minimize disruption.
• Monitor, diagnose and solve hardware or software problems.
• Comply with organization procedures to ensure integrity and security of the system.
• Install, maintain and support the organization Data center hardware infrastructure (Servers, enclosure, UPS, patch panel, tape library, cabling, etc.).

Knowledge and skills

• In-depth knowledge of Data center hardware infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows/Linux server operating systems.
• In-depth knowledge of hypervisor solutions (VMWare/Hyper-V).
• In-depth knowledge of network storage (SAN/NAS, NetApp/EMC).
• In-depth knowledge of central backup.
• Being able to work independently.
• Experience with racking, cabling, connecting hardware in data centers.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting.
