Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Production Planner to develop, monitor and optimize production and packaging plans, balancing demand, capacity, and materials to meet customer needs efficiently.

You will collaborate with the Production, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Support teams, manage daily schedules, and contribute to long‑term capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 3 years as Production Planner or similar.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably FMCG/food.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑department collaboration skills.
• Dutch and English language proficiency.
• Knowledge of ERP and planning software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and adjust daily/weekly production schedules based on demand.
• Assess feasibility of orders and determine required capacity and resources.
• Monitor progress of orders and report planned vs actual production.
• Optimize plans in real time while honoring the frozen schedule.
• Resolve capacity constraints and material shortages.
• Coordinate with Production, CRM, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers.
• Support S&OP processes and monthly inventory reconciliation.
• Develop medium- and long-term capacity plans.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Plan packaging schedules and coordinate packaging material transfers.
• Place purchase orders and ensure material availability.
• Monitor packaging inventory and adjust call-offs.
• Ensure uninterrupted production and timely material orders.
