Atlas Copco Group in Belgium is seeking a Purchasing and Supplier Management professional to optimize the service division's supplier network and contribute to after-market projects.
You will negotiate renewals, benchmark markets, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure on-time deliveries while driving cost-saving opportunities and sustainable procurement across commodities.
Within the Service Division of Compressor Technique, we are committed to achieving optimal availability of components and services, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service. With our investments in Optimization products, we are improving the industry by optimizing existing networks of machines, as well as connecting compressors to trustworthy air distribution networks, avoiding loss of efficiency along the chain.
You will play an important part in our Atlas Copco Group journey to become and remain First in Mind, First in Choice. You will manage supplier relationships for our existing supplier portfolio as well as provide input for projects to onboard new suppliers. As an important contributor, you will explore and improve supply chains, considering six pillars of purchasing excellence: total cost, quality, logistics, products and process development, contracting, and sustainability.
In this role, you will develop a purchasing strategy aligned with our divisional targets, contributing to optimized customer service. You will gain in-depth knowledge of several commodities and suppliers and participate in projects related to aftermarket compressors and compressor rooms, ensuring project budgets and timelines are met.
You will source potential new suppliers by evaluating their commercial, technical, and supply chain capabilities in line with our business code, while leading negotiations for the renewal of supply agreements.
In addition, you will work on cost-saving and availability projects by conducting market benchmarking of the supply base and identifying value creation opportunities and supplier risks.
You will collaborate closely with Supplier Quality Assurance engineers to enhance supplier quality performance and identify areas for improvement, while also evaluating logistical performance to safeguard on-time deliveries to our valued customers.
