Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. in Wilrijk, Belgium, invites an Architect & Developers Teamlead to shape customer-facing digital solutions and guide a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

You will own end-to-end solution architecture for portals, CRM, CPQ, and integrations, drive DevOps practices, and partner with sales, service, and marketing to deliver scalable, secure, and business-aligned software across digital channels.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in solution architecture, software development, and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure, SAP BTP is a plus).
• API design and integration patterns.
• Backend technologies (e.g., .NET, Java).
• Experience with ERP/CRM integrations.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

Description du poste

As an Architect & Developers Teamlead, you will lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of customer-facing digital solutions while inspiring and developing a team of software engineers. You will play a pivotal role in delivering scalable, high-quality, and business-aligned systems that support Atlas Copco Group’s digital transformation and enhance the customer experience across multiple digital channels.

In this role, you will define and maintain the end-to-end solution architecture for customer-facing platforms such as the customer portal, webshop, CRM, CPQ, and custom-built applications. You will design and govern integration patterns, including APIs and event-driven architectures, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems. By aligning solutions with enterprise architecture standards, IT strategy, and security requirements, you will drive scalability, performance, and reusability across the application landscape.

You will take ownership of the full application lifecycle, from technical design and development through deployment and ongoing maintenance. By promoting development standards, quality controls, and DevOps best practices, you will ensure the successful delivery of reliable, maintainable, and future-ready software solutions. You will also oversee the implementation of backend services, integrations, and customer experience applications within a cloud-based environment.

As a people leader, you will guide and support a multidisciplinary team of internal and external developers. Through coaching, mentoring, and talent development, you will help team members grow both technically and professionally. You will foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture, while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management activities to build and maintain a strong team.

A key aspect of the role is building strong partnerships with stakeholders across sales, service, and marketing. Acting as the bridge between business teams and IT delivery teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions. Through clear communication, proactive stakeholder management, and a strong focus on alignment, you will help ensure successful delivery outcomes and long-term business value.

In addition, you will contribute to innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency gains across platforms. You will actively support global digitalization initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and promote approaches that strengthen customer-facing solutions while supporting Atlas Copco’s long-term business objectives.

In this role, you will report to the Portfolio Manager – Customer Center & Customer Facing Applications within the Power Technique IT team.

To succeed, you will need

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in solution architecture and software development, and experience leading development teams in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure, SAP BTP is a plus)
  • API design and integration patterns
  • Backend development technologies (e.g. .NET, Java, ...)
• Experience with enterprise systems integration (e.g. ERP, CRM).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Airpower in Wilrijk, Belgium (BE).
