NETWERK BV is seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to drive long-term sourcing strategies for critical electrical assets and lead EU procurement projects from strategy to contract award.

You will collaborate with technical experts, influence sustainability initiatives, and help secure technologies powering tomorrow’s grid, with partial remote work and occasional travel to Berlin.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering/technical or economics with technical focus.
• Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and solve problems.
• Analytical and results-driven.
• Trilingual: French, Dutch and English (one mother tongue; others B2-C1).
• Preferably 2–5 years of experience in a technical context, in public procurement or project management environment.
• Affinity with legal terminology and contract negotiation.
• Master Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible to work both from home and at the office.
• Willing to travel few times a year to Berlin.
• Knowledge of Ariba.
• Knowledge of German.

Responsabilités

• Define and implement the long-term procurement strategies for critical electrical assets.
• Collaborate with technical and asset management to gain an overview of long-term requirements.
• Analyse the market and potential suppliers worldwide, considering EU procurement needs.
• Based on analysis, develop medium- to long-term procurement plans.
• Define and implement strategies with internal stakeholders.
• Support sustainability initiatives across the Group.
• Organize EU procurement from selection criteria to contract awarding (80% of the job).
• Improve internal processes, methods and tools in procurement.
• Travel a few times per year to Berlin to support activities.
• Contribute to building synergies and best practices.

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will drive long-term sourcing strategies for critical electrical assets, work with international suppliers, and lead complex EU procurement projects from strategy to contract award. In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with technical experts, influence sustainability initiatives, and help secure the technologies powering tomorrow’s grid.

• Work closely together with the technical and asset management departments to gain an overview of the long-term requirements,
• Analyse the market and potential supplier worldwide, always with an eye on the current developments on the market and anticipating the requirements of the Elia Group,
• Based on the market analysis, work out the medium- to long-term procurement plan for strategic electrical equipment,
• Define and implement the strategies in coordination with the internal stakeholders,
• Take an active part in the implementation of the sustainable policies of the Group,
• Organize the EU procurement procedure from A (definition of selection and awarding criteria) to Z (negotiation and awarding of the contract), which represents 80% of the job,
• Based on your experience in EU procurement procedures, participate in the optimization of internal processes, methods and tools in procurement,
• Depending on your experience, take responsibility for a complete family of assets working autonomously with a global scope,
• Contribute to building synergies and best practices

• You have a Master’s degree in technical or engineering studies or you have an economics background with strong technical focus in form of relevant internships or prior professional experiences,
• You have strong organizational skills, like work independently, take initiative, stress-resilient and think in a problem-solving way,
• You are analytical and result driven.
• You are trilingual: French, Dutch and English (one mother tongue and the other both level B2 to C1),
• Preferably 2 to 5 years of experience in a technical context, in public procurement or project management environment,
• Affinity with legal terminology and contract negotiation,
• You master the most common Microsoft Office applications,
• Flexible in working partially from home and at the office
• Willing to travel few times a year to Berlin
