Community Consulting in Belgium seeks an IT Domain Architect to own the Asset domain and bridge business strategy with IT execution to deliver scalable roadmaps and blueprints.

The role emphasizes security, compliance, resilience and cost control in a critical infrastructure environment, with Brussels on-site collaboration two days per week and broad stakeholder engagement across architecture teams.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in IT Architecture, preferably at Domain or Enterprise Architecture level.
• Deep knowledge of TOGAF.
• Strong experience with ArchiMate.
• Strong background in Energy & Utilities, Asset Management or comparable environments.
• Understanding of IT/OT integration constraints.
• Experience with business-critical or safety-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of architecture governance and decision-making.
• Ability to translate business capabilities into IT roadmaps and blueprints.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across exec, business and technical audiences.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs involving cost, risk, complexity and time to value.
• Understanding of security, availability, resilience, regulatory compliance and operational risk.
• Native-level proficiency in Dutch, French or German; professional proficiency in English.
• Ability to work on site approximately 2 days per week in Brussels.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Business Architecture to translate business capabilities into actionable IT roadmaps.
• Convert complex business processes into detailed IT architecture blueprints.
• Define and maintain domain-specific architectural principles and standards.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise, group and local architecture principles and reference architectures.
• Present architecture proposals before the Architectural Review Board.
• Document architectural decisions through Architectural Decision Records.
• Prevent architectural drift and manage technical debt.
• Monitor domain-level SLA and OLA performance and identify architectural risks.
• Maintain the Asset domain portfolio within the Enterprise Architecture Repository.
• Perform portfolio assessments using Gartner TIME and 6R.
• Identify reuse opportunities to reduce complexity and cost.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure solutions remain viable across lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural trade-off analyses across cost, risk, complexity and value.
• Perform peer reviews of Solution Architecture deliverables.
• Develop long-term Asset domain architecture roadmaps.
• Advise senior stakeholders on Asset strategy implications.
• Collaborate on asset data models, integration patterns and data ownership.
• Ensure interoperability between enterprise systems, operations and analytics platforms.
• Support data quality and semantic consistency in the Asset domain.
• Embed cybersecurity, resilience, availability and compliance requirements into architectures.
• Define measures for business continuity and disaster recovery.
