NATO seeks a seasoned professional to support its partnerships branch in a long‑term, renewal‑based engagement. You will coordinate activities, develop briefings, and prepare policy papers for senior leaders, while ensuring security standards and knowledge management across directorates.

The role requires drafting expertise, fluent English, and experience within alliance structures or defence ministries. Travel up to 30 days annually is expected.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in international relations, security, development or military studies.
• Experience in foreign affairs, international security or defence.
• Experience inside an alliance structure or defence ministry.
• Knowledge of partnerships, security sector reform, defence planning, military cooperation.
• Experience drafting for and briefing senior leaders.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate activities and outputs of the partnerships branch.
• Serve as central contact for partnership strands across directorates.
• Develop briefings, papers, speaking notes and reports for senior leadership.
• Develop and review policies and procedures behind military partnerships.
• Identify, coordinate and track activities and programmes of work.
• Maintain information management, lessons learned, document traceability and quality assurance.
• Ensure partnership activities and information sharing follow security policy.
• Prepare and execute engagements with senior leaders; background papers, engagement strategies, read-ahead material.
• Travel to meetings, conferences, workshops and exercises up to ~30 days a year.
