Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to own production reliability for a bare-metal Linux environment. You will define SLIs/SLOs, manage error budgets, and ship changes to reduce incidents while improving latency in a high-throughput AI workload platform.

Work near the metal on Linux performance, kernel tuning, and network debugging. This is a 12+ years senior staff role with 100% remote EU and quarterly RSU/bonus considerations.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Linux on bare metal in data centres across large fleets.
• Deep Linux expertise with kernel tuning and OS-level performance fixes.
• Strong Python or Go coding skills beyond automation.
• Proven track record in infrastructure automation at scale.
• Ownership of production incidents from root cause to remediation.
• Solid networking knowledge (DNS/TCP/TLS, latency, loss) in low-latency environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production reliability, define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Ship changes that reduce incidents and improve latency (p95/p99).
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve deployment safety (canary/rollback).
• Turn observability into actionable signals rather than noise.
• Work with Hardware Infrastructure to optimize bare-metal Linux performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
