Intuitive is seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the next‑generation unified build system across robotic platforms. You will own core build architecture and contribute code in C/C++, Rust, and Python, driving faster, more reliable builds in safety‑critical environments.

You will mentor engineers, optimize Bazel pipelines, implement remote caching/execution, and collaborate with firmware and platform teams to improve observability, tooling, and developer

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on ownership.
• Strong Bazel experience in complex C/C++ and embedded environments.
• Proven experience implementing and operating Bazel Remote Caching and Remote Execution at scale.
• Excellent programming skills in Rust, C/C++, and Python.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain Bazel-based build systems for large-scale C/C++ embedded software.
• Directly implement and optimize Bazel Remote Caching and Remote Execution for fast, deterministic builds.
• Write production code in Rust, C/C++, and Python to support build tooling and infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and architecture discussions; drive modern build practices.
