Responsibilities

• You analyze requests for proposals and evaluate the associated risks—both technical and commercial—in accordance with the department’s underwriting policy;
• You are responsible for the growth and profitability of your portfolio. You will monitor the progress of your projects and negotiate them independently. You will identify and capitalize on new opportunities in business development, innovation, and new market segments within the construction, engineering, and machinery industries;
• You build long‑term relationships and maintain close ties with key brokers and clients, offering them a personalized approach and tailored solutions;
• You are recognized as an expert in your field. Together with a team of specialists, you contribute to the exchange of knowledge and insights to continuously improve the quality of our services, products, and technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Has at least 4 years of relevant experience in the technical insurance and/or construction insurance sector;
• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, such as architecture, industrial or civil engineering, or has another relevant level of expertise within the construction sector;
• Combines a technical and commercial approach, with strong analytical and synthesis skills, negotiation abilities, and a natural business acumen. Is solution‑oriented and believes in collaboration;
• Positions themselves as the technical specialist and central liaison for both internal and external stakeholders;
• Possesses a personality characterized by proactivity, decisiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility;
• Has a high level of proficiency in Dutch and a good command of French, with a preference for knowledge of English.
