Intermodalics in Leuven, Belgium is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop reusable algorithms and architectures for robotics platforms. You will work with Linux, C++, and Python, leveraging ROS and Orocos as needed, and contribute to reusable software across projects.

The role emphasizes ownership of missions, collaboration across teams, and hands-on leadership with senior engineers while maintaining strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science or Robotics.
• 5+ years of experience developing software architectures and algorithms on robotics.
• Fluent on Linux systems and an experienced C++ programmer and have Python knowledge.
• You take ownership of a given mission and the tasks to achieve that mission.
• You take initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating with others on cross-cutting technical issues.
• Analytical mindset and eager to learn.
• You can work independently while being a team player with good reporting skills.
• English Language proficiency (written and verbal).

We're looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer with an engineering degree and hands‑on experience in a Linux environment and robotics software tools and libraries. For this role, you are working at our main office in Leuven, Belgium.

About the Role

The Senior software developer robotics is a generalist robotics engineer that can develop reusable and efficient algorithms and architectures, leveraging existing libraries and open‑source where possible.
