Job summary

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a Global Electricity Expert to lead electrical engineering guidance across projects in biotech and pharma, from design to commissioning. You will act as the technical reference on LV/MV systems, drive global standards, and support CAPEX initiatives in Europe and the US.

Fluent in French and English, you will mentor teams, review designs for compliance, and contribute to safety and OT programs while shaping digital innovation in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8 to 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in complex industrial or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
• Experience supporting large-scale CAPEX/engineering projects (feasibility and Conceptual design).
• Experience as a technical expert, SME, technical lead, or engineering reference.
• Fluency in French and English, written and spoken.

As a Global Electricity Expert at Vulcain Engineering Belgium, you will work on projects in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, from process design to commissioning, and be involved in all phases of a project according to your interests.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Act as the global technical expert for electrical engineering, with a focus on low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
• Support major international CAPEX engineering projects from feasibility and conceptual design through project execution.
• Define, develop and maintain global electrical engineering standards, specifications, guidelines and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to engineering teams, project teams, design offices and external engineering partners.
• Review electrical designs and technical documentation to ensure compliance with EHS, cGxP, company procedures and good engineering practices.
• Contribute to electrical safety initiatives, physical asset protection programs and OT-related activities.
• Support engineering projects in international environments, particularly across Europe and the United States.
• Monitor industry trends, benchmark engineering practices and contribute to digitalization and innovation initiatives within electrical engineering.
• Build and maintain a global network of internal and external electrical engineering experts.

ABOUT YOU

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• 8 to 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally within complex industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems, electrical equipment and power distribution.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale CAPEX and engineering projects, including feasibility and conceptual design phases.
• Experience acting as a technical expert, Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead or engineering reference.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical standards, engineering guidelines and best practices.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills in an international, matrix environment.
• Knowledge of U.S. electrical standards and regulations, including NFPA/NEC, is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, OT environments and physical security systems is a plus.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM projects and high-voltage systems is an advantage.
