Job summary

Antwerp Space NV invites an experienced Space SigInt System Architect to lead the technical vision for orbital intelligence systems. You will define payload architectures for SIGINT in LEO, MEO, and GEO, and guide cross-domain teams from RF to on-board DSP and bus integration.

You will drive requirements, lead reviews, and support proposals while coordinating with customers and vendors. Fluency in English is essential; EU security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Space Engineering, Signal Processing or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in space or defense systems engineering, focusing on SIGINT, EW, or RF payload architecture.
• Deep understanding of RF spectrum analysis and modern digital modulation schemes.
• Familiarity with SDR architectures and high-speed data converters suited for space.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and commercial/NewSpace practices.
• Experience leading phase B/C/D in Navigation, Radar, or Communications projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define payloads and end-to-end system architecture for spaceborne SigInt systems in LEO, MEO, and GEO.
• Lead elicitation and flow-down of mission requirements into subsystem specs.
• Conceptualize and specify spaceborne RF receiver chains and DSP units.
• Architect system-level approaches to signal detection, classification, and geolocation across multi-satellite constellations.
• Support pre-development, proposals, and subcontractor evaluation.
• Generate and maintain analyses, specifications, budgets, test procedures and design descriptions.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and engineering teams through the full product lifecycle.
• Lead technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) with stakeholders and customers.
