Get Talent is partnering with an innovative company in the space technology sector to recruit an experienced software leader. The role focuses on shaping embedded software architecture for demanding applications where reliability and quality are essential.

You will own the software architecture, guide key technical decisions, and lead a small but growing team of embedded engineers. A master’s degree and 10+ years in space-grade embedded software are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or a relevant scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of embedded software experience in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong C/C++ expertise on microcontroller-based systems.
• Experience in software architecture and technical leadership, preferably in a spatial environment.
• Knowledge of ECSS, DO-178C or comparable development frameworks.
• Strong communication in English; French and/or Dutch preferred.
• Experience in space applications, FPGA development or automated testing on embedded targets is a plus.
• Sound technical judgement with collaborative leadership and startup mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the software architecture and guide key technical decisions.
• Lead and mentor a small, growing embedded software team.
• Set development, code review and testing standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, control and systems engineers.
• Drive software readiness for qualification, audits and customer acceptance.
