NES Fircroft, Antwerp, Belgium, is recruiting an experienced South Utilities Commissioning Supervisor to support a major project on-site. You will oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for process and mechanical systems, ensuring installation, testing, and certification meet design specs and contract requirements.

The role reports to the Project Commissioning Manager and requires strong collaboration with engineering, subcontractors, vendors and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (or related discipline) with substantial process/mechanical commissioning experience.

Responsabilités

• Commissioning planning: develop pre-commissioning plans/procedures and integrate into the project schedule.
• Testing & verification: supervise vendor/subcontractor testing and drive Mechanical Completion.
• Test procedure development: create/review commissioning test procedures and coordinate support.
• Issue resolution: identify/troubleshoot issues, raise NCRs and corrective actions.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain commissioning records, punch lists and reports.
• Collaboration: work with commissioning leadership, engineering, subcontractors and client stakeholders.
• HSE compliance: ensure RAMS/PTW/LOTO and act as PTW approver.
• Handover: support final acceptance and system handover with full documentation.

NES Fircroft is recruiting for an experienced South Utilities Commissioning Supervisor to support a major project in Antwerp, Belgium. Reporting to the Project Commissioning Manager, you will oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for process/mechanical systems and equipment within the South Utilities area—ensuring systems are installed, tested, and certified in line with design specs, contract requirements, procedures, and operational needs, to support safe and efficient facility start-up.

Key responsibilities

• Commissioning planning: develop pre-commissioning plans/procedures, integrate activities into the overall project schedule, and review vendor procedures & subcontractor method statements.
• Testing & verification: supervise vendor/subcontractor testing (including interfaces, interlocks, loop checks and safety devices), support integration testing, and drive Mechanical Completion on a system/sub-system basis.
• Test procedure development: create/review commissioning test procedures (CTPs), define temporary systems, coordinate vendor support schedules, and determine required tools/specialist equipment.
• Issue resolution: identify and troubleshoot commissioning issues; raise and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain accurate commissioning records, punch lists, inspection/test reports, and compliance documentation.
• Collaboration: work closely with commissioning leadership, engineering disciplines, subcontractors, vendors and client stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• HSE compliance: ensure RAMS, PTW and LOTO are implemented correctly; act as PTW approver for subcontractor-issued permits.
• Handover: support final acceptance and system handover to Operations with full documentation.

Eligibility / Logistics

• On-site role in Antwerp; Belgium/European-based candidates (or those able to work in Belgium for the project duration) are strongly preferred.
• European project experience and previous experience working on major industrial or energy projects would be highly advantageous.
