Mansource seeks a seasoned Mechanical Commissioning & Start-Up lead for a major greenfield petrochemical project in Antwerp, Belgium. You will guide mechanical systems from Mechanical Completion through pre-commissioning, commissioning, to Operations handover.

You will work closely with Construction, Operations, Engineering, Process and E&I teams, covering specific plant areas or the entire plant depending on the project phase. English proficiency is essential for this global project.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in Mechanical Commissioning & Start-Up within petrochemical, Oil & Gas, refinery or comparable process facilities.
• Experience taking mechanical systems from Mechanical Completion through commissioning to Operations handover.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating and static equipment, piping and valves.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and supervise mechanical commissioning and start-up activities from Mechanical Completion through to handover to Operations
• Conduct and coordinate system walkdowns, equipment checks, punch-list follow-up and verification of system readiness
• Coordinate mechanical pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, pressure testing, leak testing and reinstatement
• Support the start-up of mechanical equipment, systems and utilities, including troubleshooting and initial operation
• Supervise contractors and field personnel while ensuring compliance with HSE, PTW, LOTO and SIMOPS requirements

In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical commissioning and start-up of a major greenfield petrochemical project in Antwerp. You will guide mechanical systems and equipment from Mechanical Completion through pre-commissioning and commissioning to actual start-up and handover to Operations. Depending on the project phase, your responsibility may cover specific plant areas or the entire plant. You will work closely with Construction, Operations, Engineering, Process and E&I teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise mechanical commissioning and start-up activities from Mechanical Completion through to handover to Operations
• Conduct and coordinate system walkdowns, equipment checks, punch-list follow-up and verification of system readiness
• Coordinate mechanical pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, pressure testing, leak testing and reinstatement
• Support the start-up of mechanical equipment, systems and utilities, including troubleshooting and initial operation
• Supervise contractors and field personnel while ensuring compliance with HSE, PTW, LOTO and SIMOPS requirements

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in Mechanical Commissioning & Start-Up within petrochemical, Oil & Gas, refinery or comparable process facilities
• Demonstrable experience with actual plant start-ups and taking mechanical systems from Mechanical Completion through commissioning to Operations handover
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating and static equipment, piping, valves, system boundaries, walkdowns and commissioning procedures
• Strong field leadership and communication skills; experience with major greenfield projects, steam crackers or ethylene/olefins is a strong advantage, along with good command of English
