KATOEN NATIE is seeking a Solutions Engineer for its Kallo site (BE) to coordinate teams and manage start-up projects in the logistics and warehousing domain.

The role requires strong analytical skills, customer focus, and willingness to travel. Fluency in English is essential, with French and Dutch as advantages. This position offers an international scope within a leading logistics group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical skills including cost calculations, ROI, and process design.
• People management and customer-focused mindset.
• Hands-on, problem solver with ability to work under deadlines.
• Willingness to travel abroad up to 3 months.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate teams responsible for execution of tasks (WMS setup, building fit-out, training).
• Control scope, budget and timing to ensure successful start-up and KPI/profitability.
• Manage lessons learned with operational and financial teams.
• Prepare competitive concepts based on customer requirements in RFx processes.
• Design and adjust warehouse processes and layouts, and calculate prices.
• Join and support Business Development in negotiations with new customers.

Job Description

The function consists of 2 major responsibilities:

• Coordination of teams that are responsible for the execution of all tasks (WMS setup, Building fit out, training, …)


• Control over scope / budget / timing in order to achieve a successful start‑up for KTN as well as for Customer reaching the forecasted KPI’s and profitability.


• Manage lessons learnt process toward the different teams on operational level as well as financial level

As a Solutions Engineer you manage in team RFI/RFP/RFQ and deliver competitive concepts based on customer requirements

• Analyses of logistical data


• Design & adjust warehouse processes / automation


• Design warehouse layout


• Calculate prices


• Make attractive and professional proposals

Join and support Business Development team in negotiations with new customers

Your profile

• Proven track record: at least 5 years of experience in logistics/warehouse operations


• Strong analytical skills (cost calculations, ROI, productivities, process design, …)


• People manager & customer focused


• Problem solver, hands‑on, team player


• Able to cope with short deadlines


• Languages: English is a must, French and Dutch are a plus


• Willingness to travel abroad is a must (maximum periods of 3 months)
