Craftzing Group is seeking a Solution Architect to design the technical backbone of digital platforms for top-tier clients. You’ll bridge business ambitions with technical reality, remaining independent of any single vendor while delivering end-to-end architectures and clear rationales to engineers and C-level executives.

In this role you translate complex needs into concrete designs, collaborate with application specialists, and guide build vs. buy decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering and/or architecture experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Think along with business stakeholders to understand goals, challenges and constraints.
• Translate business and functional requirements into clear, end-to-end technical solution designs and architecture schemas.
• Refine those designs together with application specialists into concrete, plannable work.
• Zoom out to see the bigger picture and make architecture decisions in the client's best interest, independent of any single vendor.
• Judge when to engage a specific platform or vendor and when to run a market evaluation (build vs. buy).
• Make and document architecture decisions, balancing scalability, security, performance and cost.
• Design API-driven and integration approaches across applications, services and third-party systems.
• Safeguard non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear language for business and C-level stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early, and propose pragmatic mitigations.

As a Solution Architect at Craftzing, you are the bridge between business ambition and technical reality. You think along with business stakeholders, but above all you translate their needs into concrete technical solution designs and refine them together with application specialists.

Who we're looking for

• A strong architect with sharp execution skills and a healthy dose of pragmatism.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and/or architecture, with a solid track record in a solution or technical architect role.
• Technology- and vendor-agnostic by instinct: broad familiarity across the landscape (CRM, ERP, data platforms, cloud providers, integration) without being tied to a single vendor.
• Able to zoom out, weigh build vs. buy, and run a market evaluation when the situation calls for it.
• Strong command of integration patterns and API-driven architecture.
• Able to think along with business stakeholders and refine solutions with application specialists into plannable work.
• Excellent communication skills: you can hold the attention of C-level stakeholders and unite teams around a shared technical direction.
• Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
