Keysight Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer to support the Eggplant Test Fusion Engine. The Fusion Engine is a back-end automation engine which uses AI, OCR, and Computer Vision to drive applications under test.

You will play an integral role in testing the functionality of our Fusion Engine, focusing on validating new features, writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools and working with developers to resolve bugs and improve usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Engineering/CS
• 6+ years as Software Test Automation Engineer with automated scripts
• Experience using AI assistants to boost productivity in test automation
• Solid knowledge of SDLC, QA processes and concepts
• Experience testing API-driven back-end applications
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP; good programming
• Experience with CI/CD and Git

Responsabilités

• Develop advanced testing techniques to improve quality and productivity
• Review and improve automated test strategy for AI-enabled applications

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer who is eager to support delivering exciting features for the Eggplant Test Fusion Engine. The Fusion Engine is a back-end automation engine which uses leading-edge AI, OCR, and Computer Vision to drive applications under test.You will play an integral role in testing the functionality of our Fusion Engine, focusing on the validation of new features, writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools (including our own testing tool) and working with developers in the engineering team to resolve bugs and improve usability.

Responsibilities

• Creating test scenarios from user stories and acceptance criteria
• Manage a regression suite for our products, including the release/signoff process
• Develop and drive advanced testing techniques for the project with the goal of improved quality and productivity
• Review and improve an automated test strategy for our AI-enabled application
• Writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools (including our own testing tool)
• Ensure products and components function well to provide an exceptional user experience. Requires good understanding of process management and the ability to adapt to new platforms quickly
• Debugging the failed tests and identify the root cause reporting to the team.
• Provide input to the design and development process to improve testability, quality and user experience
• Identify and raise issue reports for bugs discovered through manual, automated or regression testing

Qualifications

About You

You should be self-motivated and have a proven track record of testing complex software, systems and platforms with a strong understanding of software engineering principles. Since you will often be testing AI and/or OCR features which are non-deterministic, you should be comfortable designing, executing, and validating probabilistic benchmarks and test suites.

Specific requirements include:

• Bachelor/ Master in Computer Engineering/Computer Science
• At least 6 years experience as a Software Test Automation Engineer with focus on writing automated test scripts.
• Experience using AI assistants to drive productivity gains in test automation
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, QA process and concepts.
• Working knowledge of testing API driven, back-end applications.
• Solid knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP development practices and good programming knowledge.
• Experience working with CI / CD and familiar with Git.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience designing tests to verify non-deterministic behaviour, especially AI
• Comfortable working from the command line on Linux and Windows
• Added advantage for candidate with experience using Eggplant Test software.
• Experience working with a GUI based test tool
• Working knowledge of Functional Test
• Any familiarity with Python, particularly Pytest
