Prado is seeking a Software Engineer to develop cutting-edge smart home applications in a connected hardware-software environment. You will focus on high-performance Rust-based software with secure communication for constrained devices, and collaborate with R&D to align software with hardware.

The role emphasizes unit testing, exploring new technologies, and clear documentation within a dynamic, growing team in Belgium. English proficiency is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in CS/Software Engineering/IT or related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Rust experience is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with MQTT, Matter, KNX or gRPC.
• A fascination with AI and open experimentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient English; Dutch knowledge is advantageous.
