Bluecrux is seeking backend Software Engineers to contribute to Axon, our Digital Twin SaaS platform. You will join the Analytics team and build the analytical backbone of the Axon platform using .NET in a cloud-based environment.

We value strong analytical thinking, a master’s degree in a technical field, and fluency in Dutch and English. The role offers a 50/50 hybrid model from our Mechelen office and a competitive salary with bonus.

In this role, you’ll contribute directly to Axon™, our Digital Twin SaaS platform. We’re looking for Software Engineers who are curious, analytically strong, and excited to grow in an intellectually challenging product environment.

A background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field will provide a strong foundation for success in this role.Beyond that, we value strong reasoning skills, an interest in software development, and the ambition to continuously learn and improve.

• You join the backend Analytics team within Product & Engineering: a close‑knit team of 20+ data scientists and engineers working closely with product owners to deliver end‑to‑end platform features.
• You help build and evolve the analytical backbone of the Axon platform.
• You translate strong abstract and analytical thinking into real‑world software solutions.
• You integrate customer data into scalable data models, building complex graph structures, analytical logic, and advanced capabilities for calculations, simulations, and querying.
• You know what clean, production‑ready code looks like. You have a strong focus on quality and maintainability.
• You build and extend a sophisticated backend, using .NET.
• You use AI -curiously and with judgement- to explore design options, write and improve code, validate tests, and speed up repetitive work.
• You’ll report to the Lead Software Engineer of Axon technology.

About you

• Hold a master’s degree in fields such as (Civil) Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or similar.
• Have your first work experience related to (backend) software development, ideally within a cloud-based environment and/or on product platforms.
• Have a strong interest in software development. Prior development experience is a big plus, but not required.
• Are curious about how AI is reshaping software development and eager to grow with it.
• Enjoy understanding how technical choices connect to real business impact.
• Are fluent in Dutch & English.
