Walls Construction in Belgium seeks a Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team in on-site delivery of building projects, overseeing setting out, quality control, and coordination of site activities. You will ensure works meet project specifications, company standards and safety policies, supervise site staff, and maintain records in the DMS.

A relevant engineering qualification with 2–3 years’ experience is required; strong IT and surveying instrument knowledge is essential;

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Carry out setting out, leveling, and quality control activities, including concrete quality checks and cube sampling.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional accuracy before pours; maintain materials reconciliation records.
• Maintain site activity records, diaries, quality docs, and upload information to the Document Management System (DMS).
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors on site, ensuring policy compliance.

Role Overview

The Site Engineer will support the Construction Management Team in the effective on-site delivery of building projects. This role involves overseeing setting out, quality control, coordination of site activities, and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out, levelling, and quality control activities, including monitoring concrete quality through cube sampling, slump testing, and related procedures.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional accuracy prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including site diaries, quality documentation, and the uploading of relevant information to the Document Management System (DMS).
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors involved in various aspects of the construction process.
• Ensure full compliance with the Company’s health & safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• A relevant Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience working with a building contractor.
• Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of surveying instruments and site equipment.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and solutions‑focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
