Proximus Global is seeking a SIM & eSIM Connectivity Engineer to join the SIM for Things (SFT) team in Brussels. You will design, implement, and support SIM/eSIM ecosystems, including SM-DP+ and Remote SIM Provisioning, ensuring reliable connectivity for global IoT deployments.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement SIM, eSIM, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions.
• Evolve SIM for Things, eSIM Hub, and provisioning platforms.
• Collaborate with vendors, product, and operations teams on integrations and deployments.
• Draft and maintain technical docs, integration specs, and procedures.
• Validate SIM configurations, profiles, OS, and related components.
• Manage SIM/eSIM lifecycle activities including provisioning, activation, suspension, replacement, and termination.
• Coordinate SIM inventory, ordering, and vendor onboarding.
• Perform device interoperability tests and end-to-end validation.
• Verify compatibility across devices, SIMs, profiles, platforms, and networks.
• Troubleshoot incidents involving devices, SIMs, eUICCs, and networks.
• Support integrations with external partners and management platforms.

About The Role

At Proximus Global, we're looking for a SIM & eSIM Connectivity Engineer to join our SIM for Things (SFT) team.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of our SIM and eSIM ecosystem, covering physical SIMs, eUICCs, eSIM Hub platforms, SM-DP+, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions. Working closely with product, operations, technology teams, vendors, and partners, you will help deliver reliable connectivity solutions for global IoT deployments.

You will be involved throughout the SIM and eSIM lifecycle, from solution design and device validation to provisioning, troubleshooting, and operational support, helping ensure a seamless experience for customers and partners.

What You'll Do

• Support the design and implementation of SIM, eSIM, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions in line with business and operational requirements.
• Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of SIM for Things, eSIM Hub, and provisioning platforms.
• Participate in implementation projects involving SIM vendors, profile providers, and ecosystem partners. Perform technical analyses, solution assessments, and impact evaluations for new requirements and integrations.
• Draft and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
• Support the validation of SIM configurations, profiles, operating systems, and related technical components.
• Help manage SIM and eSIM lifecycle activities, including provisioning, activation, suspension, replacement, and termination processes.
• Collaborate with operational teams on SIM inventory management, ordering processes, and vendor onboarding activities.
• Execute and coordinate device interoperability testing and end-to-end validation activities.
• Verify compatibility between devices, SIMs, eSIM profiles, connectivity platforms, and mobile networks.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical incidents involving devices, SIMs, eUICCs, profiles, and network integrations.
• Support integrations with external partners, including eSIM and profile management platforms.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders, customers, and business teams.
• Contribute to service monitoring, automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring

• Experience & technical expertise
• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in telecom, IoT, mobile connectivity, or related technology environments.
• Experience working with SIM and/or eSIM technologies and mobile connectivity solutions.
• Good understanding of SIM lifecycle management, provisioning processes, and connectivity operations.
• Familiarity with GSMA eSIM standards and industry best practices.
• Experience testing connected devices and troubleshooting connectivity-related issues.
• Understanding of mobile network concepts, roaming, and IoT connectivity environments.
• Ability to analyse technical requirements and work effectively with vendors and technology partners.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments involving product, operations, and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of eSIM platforms such as SM-DP+, SM-DP/SR, or Remote SIM Provisioning solutions.
• Familiarity with SIM operating systems, applets, Java Card, or GlobalPlatform technologies.
• Exposure to SIM profile management, personalisation, or file system structures (EFs/DFs).
• Experience working with SIM manufacturers such as IDEMIA, Thales, G+D, Kigen, Workz, or similar vendors.
• Understanding of LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G IoT, MVNO, or MVNE environments.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
